The 2025 Kia Carnival is coming soon to your Kia dealer in Chambly, and it's bringing a host of new features, including a hybrid trim!
Here’s a preview of what the Kia Carnival minivan has to offer for this new model year!
What's Expected for the 2025 Carnival?
For the new model year, the 2025 Kia Carnival, whose prices will be announced later, offers numerous new features including a significant one: the introduction of a hybrid engine. This was confirmed at the last Chicago Auto Show held in February.
In 2025, you'll have the choice between traditional gasoline trims or a hybrid Kia Carnival, which will not only provide powerful performance but also increased energy efficiency compared to the 2024 models and gasoline versions.
Other notable new or improved features include new safety technologies, revised styling elements both inside and out, as well as a new seating configuration option.
Hybrid Engine for the 2025 Carnival
As mentioned earlier, the 2025 Kia Carnival will offer, for the very first time, a hybrid version, making it more competitive than ever in the minivan market.
Performance on the road
The hybrid trim of the Carnival will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 54 kW electric motor. This setup delivers a net power of 242 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and a front-wheel drive system.
This well-known powertrain is also used in the hybrid versions of the Sorento and Sportage SUVs, although there are differences between the Kia hybrid and plug-in hybrid models.
The gasoline versions will continue to be powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Towing Capacity and Fuel Consumption
The official fuel consumption ratings and towing capacity of the 2025 Kia Carnival hybrid are not yet known. However, the gasoline versions are expected to display the same capabilities as the outgoing model year, suggesting a towing capacity of up to 3500 pounds.
Redesigned Exterior – A Modern Minivan
New stylistic features are found on the Kia Carnival, reminiscent of the popular EV9, a fully electric SUV offered at an attractive price.
Noticeable are the spectacularly designed "Star Map" daytime running lights, redesigned rear lights, and the front, which has undergone a facelift and now sports a more dynamic look than ever.
Inside the 2025 Kia Carnival
Spacious, elegant, and offering numerous amenities, the Kia Carnival has an interior that is bound to please everyone.
Space for the Whole Family
Depending on the trim selected, the Kia Carnival can offer seating for 7 or 8, which is sure to appeal to large families. For reference, the 2024 versions can accommodate between 1139 and 4110 liters, depending on the position of the 2nd and 3rd row seats.
Comfort and Practical Aspects
The Carnival's elegant interior boasts exceptional refinement and quality materials.
